MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!

Texas Tech Students and Faculty! Lubbockites or Lubbock new comers! Tech Terrace homes are available and affordable right now. If you are in semester break and want to buy a home...or your parents want to buy a home for you rather than renting for the next few years, call me!

If you want a starter home, check out 3319 31st Street! It is priced at only $87,995.00 and has just over 1000 square feet. *

If you are anxious to be close to TTU or Covenant but really want a NEW HOME, look at 2610 23rd. This new home is priced at $214900.00 and has over 1800 sq. ft. *

If you have a larger family or want a substantial home, take a look at 2813 21st Street. Priced at $289,000.00 this three bedroom, three bath home has nearly 2800 square feet.*

*Not my listing, price subject to change.

I can show any home in Tech Terrace and love working with buyers. Get in touch with me if I can help you find a home anywhere in Lubbock.

READY TO SELL? If you are ready to sell, call and let me show you what I do to get homes sold. I will customize a plan based on your circumstances. And, for Tech Terrace owners, I appreciate and understand the appeal of older homes (unlike many Lubbock Realtors). Sellers who choose me to market their homes, know I am committed to getting them the best price in the least amount of time. And they know I will be honest in my assessments.

Now, I'm going shopping! Here is wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Super New Year!

Daily Toreador

I was quoted last week in the Texas Tech University newspaper regarding home sales to Texas Tech parents. In essence, the peak of sales for student housing that happens almost every summer did not happen this year. If you read the Avalanche Journal you will see that sales are down some from last year. Still, and at the risk of being a Pollyanna, Lubbock's housing market is strong and thriving. I know if you have a house for sale right now, you likely don't see that. We are in a buyer's market and homes are taking longer to sell and in some cases, seller's are making more concessions to get their homes sold. Still, it can be done. First, have a really fine Realtor on your side. (Give me a call!) Then be sure your home is in tip top condition.

One point I attempted to make in my interview with the writer for the Daily Toreador is that the slow sales of this summer were not limited to Tech Terrace. Initially, she was asking specifically about the Tech Terrace neighborhood, perhaps hoping for some bad news about the area. Despite a few bumps in the road, Tech Terrace is still a popular and wonderful place to live.

I'll end with wishes for a great year for our Texas Tech students and faculty who live here. Also, welcome back to school Roscoe Wilson and Hutch students, staff, and teachers! I hope everyone has a successful and happy school year.
